CELEBRATING ST JOSEPH'S FEAST DAY 19TH MARCH

It started with a jolt of excitement, when the school community travelled to Burden Park to celebrate St Joseph’s Feast Day. As soon as we arrived some classes headed to the big adventure playground. There were a range of different sports activities such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, cricket and KABOOM sports. This kept us busy throughout the day. The Junior school had a Teddy Bear picnic area and the senior students had a Chill Out zone to rest and relax. Suddenly we heard a 'ROAR! BANG! BANG! BANG!' as we gathered to see a professional Lion Dance. It was amazing to watch. The performance symbolizes Good Luck and chases away the dark and evil spirits from our lives. Finally, we had three jumping castles for everyone to enjoy. St John’s Ambulance, security guards and even the police were there to help keep us safe and allow our event to run smoothly. We enjoyed playing all those games, eating fruit and icy poles and spending precious time with our friends. We can all agree that it was a crazy, fun filled day. We rated this event 11/10!
